18.02.08: Electronic Medical Chart

New standard, called "Electronic Medical Chart", was introduced in January 2008. Such "health passports" will keep medical information in digital format and will ease the work of doctors and nurses.

While the doctor is seeing a patient, he will dictate the nurse the results of examination, diagnosis, prescriptions. She will fix the data in an electronic file. The information will be protected by special code, which will be kept on the bar-code cards of doctor and patient.
