— The easiest way to avoid unpleasant surprises in such case is to refer to a medical institution. One should not try to organize a trip by himself. There are too many factors which should be considered. Private intermediaries are not good enough either.

— A doctor can estimate the situation as a professional; can recommend the right clinic, specializing in particular disease.

Generally, the process of diagnostics and treatment abroad can be divided into two main parts. The first part is medical management - these are services, connected with treatment and diagnostics: specialists’ consultations, preliminary evaluation, clinic selection, carrying negotiations, making recommendations and prescriptions. The second part is the so-called assistance: trip planning and organizing, transportation, attendance, visa support and the like. A serious company always offers cost accounting services — control of billed invoices and rendered services.

— How can one make sure he is not deceived?

— In American Medical Center all expenses are broken down and approved by the client. After our doctors’ consultations and preliminary investigations (in case of necessity) we prepare the so –called “case” – that is the document describing every little detail: from medical procedures to accommodation conditions. While many intermediaries just take their percentage from the total sum of non-detailed bill.
